Both the Canadian Encyclopedia and McGill University have him dying in Montreal, not in North Hatley.--79.173.205.246 (talk) 16:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sprucing up this article[edit]

Hello everyone. I'm hoping to greatly improve this article in the coming weeks/months. If anyone else wants to get involved, the more the merrier! GA/FA, here we come! Moisejp (talk) 01:51, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adding additional reference material would greatly improve the quality of this article, as the vast majority of the citations are all from Cameron (1981). Nerdcorenet (talk) 16:35, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Works[edit]

While I agree that Two Solitudes is one of his notable works, I also feel that The Watch That Ends the Night is worth a spot in the notable works box.

Stephen Bonnycastle, a literary critic states that "There seems to be agreement that [The Watch That Ends the Night] is MacLennan's best novel, and a fairly general consensus that it is one of the most important novels in the body of Canadian literature" (It's from his essay titled "The Power of The Watch That Ends the Night", and can be found in Contemporary Literary Criticism, volume 92, page 331. I just don't know how to use the reference thingy.)

I don't know how to put stuff into the box, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can help.

Added The Watch That Ends the Night to the list, along with Barometer Rising. If someone else wishes to add the literary reference, that would be grand. Thanks. Nerdcorenet (talk) 16:29, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
