The lead said that this language belongs to the Mesoamerican linguistic area, when the opposite is true. The citation I have given in fact also lists five criteria for that linguistic area.
Outdated spellings were used for what were supposed to be the native name: Huichol orthography doesn't use the letter v. Aside from spelling, two suggestions for a native name of the language were given, and the second word in each suggestion I did not find in my own research. I stumbled on the fact that the source of this pair of slightly wrong phrases is the Ethnologue entry for Huichol on the Mexico page. Of course, Ethnologue is not always wrong, but this mistake makes at least two examples of editors being lazy at their research. This seems to be a recurring fault in these Mexican indigenous languages articles. Dale Chock (talk) 20:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
