more info[edit]

This list of requests for precautionary measures and information by the Inter-American Human Rights Commission to the Honduran de facto authorities has a huge amount of useful info. It's not cited in the article so far. Boud (talk) 00:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

list of local and international HR reports[edit]

There are so many HR reports, that it's probably useful to list them properly. Here's just a start - feel free to edit this list, or add the name="blabla" ref labels for references that are already cited, so that people referring to them can use <ref name="blabla" /> to avoid doubling up the bibliography. Most of these reports contain so much material that they presumably should be cited multiple times for relevant info. Boud (talk) 00:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC) They may be useful for other articles too. Boud (talk) 00:18, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How to use this list of human rights reports:

  • Read them and judge what is most notable, or what is factual and useful for supporting notable events in relevant Honduras articles.
  • In related articles, look for the ref name="blabla" tag. If it is already present, then you can use the <ref name="blabla" /> tag for a repeated reference. If it is not, present, then use the full reference.
  • In this article, most references are probably already present, so probably you only need the <ref name="blabla" /> tag. Otherwise, the first time, add the full reference.
  • Edit (without saving) the source for examples if you don't understand the referencing style.

      • xx August/September - HRW's own investigation?
i added Enlazando Alternativas to the list - this must be the missing human rights mission. Enlazando Alternativas is also listed as participating in the "FIDH + many others" mission, but the list of names of people who composed the two missions are clearly distinct. Boud (talk) 17:18, 23 August 2009 (UTC) However, the ref i found doesn't look like the mission's full report. Boud (talk) 17:29, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

international role in human rights violations[edit]

Apparently Peruvian-labelled tear gas grenades are not enough "internationalism" for the Honduran security forces. These two photos show the Chinese/Japanese word for police - 警察 (Japanese: in hiragana: けいさつ, or in latin letters, "keisatsu"; Mandarin: jingcha) on the helmets of the police attacking the Agrarian Institute: close up, "察" is fairly clear and a more distant shot. "警" is less clear. Boud (talk) 16:03, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Florencio Rivera[edit]

Removed: On 2 August, another school teacher, Martin Florencio Rivera, was killed as he left the mourning procession for Roger Vallejo. He was stabbed 27 times, in the same way Pedro Magdiel Muñoz was stabbed to death in El Paraiso after being held by the military.[1]

A serious non-blog reference on PCM-M-016-2009 is http://www.oas.org/OASpage/press_releases/press_release.asp?sCodigo=IACHR71/09 The best references are probably blogs, however. Boud (talk) 22:35, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Any more info on this? It sounds rather like human rights violations. Boud (talk) 17:44, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Human rights in Honduras[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Human rights in Honduras's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "wsjromeroellner":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:38, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
