Brewer[edit]

Cites the castle to have been led by Willie Wastle, defying (Thomas?) Cromwell during the Rough Wooing. Anyone know anything more about this? Jatrius (talk) 00:39, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Greenlaw Castle?[edit]

As far as I can make out, Greenlaw Castle is the same place as Hume Castle. Therefore I have made Greenlaw Castle a Redirect to this article. If I am wrong, then be WP:BOLD. --Mais oui! (talk) 15:29, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RCAHMS place Greenlaw Castle near Greenlaw, around 5km north of Hume Castle, though nothing remains today.[1] There's no mention of Greenlaw Castle as an alternate name for Hume Castle.[2] Also, Hume was destroyed in the civil war so unlikely to be the home of the father of Anne Hunter. I don't think Greenlaw Castle is sufficiently notable on its own so I've changed the target to Greenlaw. Thanks, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 16:39, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ta. When I Googled "Greenlaw Castle" (with the " ") it went straight to the Hume Castle website. --Mais oui! (talk) 17:46, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
