This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.
- Is it well written?
- A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the lead, "....which had diminished following the release of American Life" ---> "...which had diminished following the release of her 2003 album American Life". In the Background and release section, "Hung Up" was inspired by the 1970s disco era, notably ABBA, Giorgio Moroder and the film Saturday Night Fever" ---> "Hung Up" was inspired by the 1970s disco era, notably ABBA, Giorgio Moroder and the film Saturday Night Fever (1977), so that it can provide context for the reader. In the Critical reception section, this sentence ---> "Alan Light from the Rolling Stone called the song candy coated", remove "the" unnecessary to have. In the Chart performance section, "On August 18, 2008, the single was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling at lease a million copies in paid digital downloads", is "lease" supposed to be "least"? In the Music video section, "LaChapelle wanted the video to have a "documentary"-style look, much like that of his film Rize, in which five of the dancers in the "Hung Up" video appeared" ---> "LaChapelle wanted the video to have a "documentary"-style look, much like that of his 2005 film Rize, in which five of the dancers in the "Hung Up" video appeared. Same section, "Her dance moves for the video, which were inspired by Travolta's movies like Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978) and Perfect (1985) took three hours to shoot". Same section, "The youngsters who boarded the taxi, leave it and takes the train instead", if their "youngsters", that means their more than one, so "takes" needs to be "take". Also, "youngsters"? In the Live performances section, "However after that, the electric guitar was played to make noises, which Madonna dedicated to Republican vice-presidential nominee for 2009 elections", 2009? The election was in 2008. Also, add "the" between "for" and "2008". Also, "elections" ---> "election".
- B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
Throughout the article, link "The Telegraph", "chorus", "archetypical", and "Express Yourself" to their correspondence articles. In the lead, italicize "Guinness World Records", since it is a book. In the Background and release section, link "iTunes" once. In the Music structure and lyrics section, link "Stuart Price" once. Same section, "What You Waiting For?" should be in double quotations, since it is a song. Same section, "Confessions on a dance Floor" ---> "Confessions on a Dance Floor". In the Critical reception section, link "Billboard" once. Also, space for ---> [...] In the Live performance section, link "Sticky & Sweet Tour" once.
