Name recommendations[edit]

I think it should remain Flossie (2007) unless a direct hit is expected with at least the eyewall crossing at least one of the islands (not in the forecast at this point, but in the cone of uncertainty). Should a direct hit come into play, it should be moved to Hurricane Flossie. CrazyC83 15:09, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NO. Standard Wikipedia and Wikiproject naming guidelines should stay in place. Flossie is a reusable name and does not deserve the main article. Chacor 15:22, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Chacor is right. It should only get the main article once retired. Of course, if it strikes the islands directly, the odds of it not being retired are pretty much nil. I would, however, be okay with redirecting Hurricane Flossie here if the storm does have a severe impact as none of the other Hurricane Flossies did much. —Cuiviénen 15:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I guess the policy changed since 2005...I just think it should be clarified now to make sure that no one does an unnecessary move. I like the redirect of the main article idea if it is likely going to be retired... CrazyC83 15:35, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unless it causes several billion in damage (which the 2005 storms did when they got the main article, and for the record I really hope it does not), I think it should stay at Flossie (2007), with the main article remaining where it is. Hurricanehink (talk) 16:36, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Damage reports[edit]

Any damage reports yet? Thankfully it did not affect the state as it was predicted to. Hurricanehink (talk) 21:12, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PHFO will issue a post-storm report, as with any other NWS WFO. Chacor 01:12, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Post season report is out. --Hurricanehink (talk) 05:25, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete[edit]

The MH is incomplete. I'd lower it to stub, but it's well-cited and there's a good bit of impact. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:59, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was chatting with Cyclonebiskit about this on the IRC and he said that he forgot all about it. Leave Message ,Yellow Evan home , User:Yellow Evan/Sandbox
