Early life and career[edit]

The following sentence in the second paragraph is not clear; "Sometime in the late 1950s, Hwang discovered a 1955 speech in which Kim said, "Juche means Chosun's revolution" (Chosun being the traditional name for Korea)". It needs to be better explained, possibly a source added, or removed. It has a whiff of the mythmaking around Kim Il Sung, seemingly implying the well-known storyline of some lost documents being found and showing the 'true' background to a particular historical event. Removed section about 50000 operatives in ROK[edit]

I have removed reference to 50000 operatives in ROK since it has been officially denounced even by South Korean Officials responsible for Hwang Jang Yop[1]: "It has been confirmed, however, that he made no remarks to any one along the line that "more than 50,000 agents are clandestinely operating in South Korea" or "I have a list of such agents." The investigation of Hwang has not yielded any such List. " --Bjornar 18:17, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hanja[edit]

The Hanja in the infobox says "黄长烨". But as I understand Hanja, it's traditional Chinese characters. All three characters of "黄长烨" are simplified. The traditional counterpart is "黃長燁".
