The diffie-hellman example is not dubious[edit]

The Diffie-Hellman protocol is a key exchange protocol that use public key cryptography. I'm not sure why the claim was marked as dubious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ghstark (talkcontribs) 15:58, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hybrid mode cryptography versus hybrid cryptography[edit]

In the context of post-quantum cryptography, the term "hybrid mode" is being used to described the synthesis of two public-key crypto systems, one of which is pre-quantum and one of which is post-quantum. (See, e.g., the second bullet point in the description of Kyber given here. See also the discussion here, where Dr. Markku-Juhani O. Saarinen raises this exact concern and suggests a terminology change for the so-called hybrid-mode cryptography.) I am new to Wikipedia editing but I thought that since I myself was confused by this when looking up more about this concept, I should start a discussion here and perhaps suggest adding a new page for hybrid-mode cryptography. 2211nasa (talk) 00:38, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
