HQI = Mercury Quartz Iodine
The "H" comes from the atomic symbol for Mercury (Hg)
Deletion of this article[edit]
"HQI" is a trademark of Osram GmbH for their quartz metal halide lamps, and as such, this article need to be deleted as soon as possible, as it is misleading and uses this name as a genericized trademark. זור987 (talk) 08:54, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
