Hyperarithmetical heirarchy[edit]

Hello! Thanks v. much for creating this page, which I _believe_ fills a long-standing need for a page on hyperarithmetical hierarchy, a long-running red-link through many of these articles. I have added a redirect at Hyperarithmetical hierarchy rather than changing the target.

Might this article (hyperarithmetical theory) be profitably moved/renamed to "hyperarithmetical hierarchy"? Zero sharp 20:49, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect is a good idea; I overlooked it. This article shouldn't be renamed to hyperarithmetical hierarchy any more than Turing degree should be renamed to arithmetical hierarchy. At some point, it might be worthwhile to create a separate article covering the hyperarithmetical hierarchy in more depth, but for now this article at least gives it some coverage, although it isn't the main subject of this article. — Carl (CBM · talk) 22:38, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
understood, thanks! Zero sharp 23:33, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hyperarithmetic or Hyperarithmetic-al ?[edit]

The article uses both forms interchangeably; this is a bit strange. I do not know if one term is more prevalent in literature than another, but it would be nice to have uniformity at least in the article - and a note about the alternate form. AmirOnWiki (talk) 13:47, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
