Notes for article (requested)[edit]

Nowa (talk · contribs) has worked very hard on this article and gotten it in a fairly good shape, but has asked me for my opinions. My first opinion is that it has greatly improved since it was first listed; I'm extremely impressed with the work thus far. Here are my notes for what I feel should be looked at further.

  • In the lead, "...for an unknown reason." Unless this is sourced somewhere, remove it. At this point in the article, we (as readers) only need to know that the work is related to him crying.
  • "The photographs have..." reads better as "The photographs include..."
  • Although the final sentence may be true, we need direct attribution for this, and it probably should not be included in the lead as is.
  • The heading of the first section should have a lowercase "i" for "Interpretation" (per MOS:HEAD
  • That whole section should be written in more of a paragraph form, including like opinions in the same paragraphs. Right now, it seems more like a list of opinions.
  • The influence section is currently a list of artists. It would be better, in my opinion to include more information, possibly including quotes about how it influenced them.
  • The article is completely lacking any content about the work itself. Currently the only information actually about the work is in the lead. The lead should be an overview of the whole article. I'd like to see a section about the work itself. What it included, how it was made, what his reasons were (or that he hasn't given any)? Who inspired him to do this? ETC and ETC

I feel these are the next few things that need to be addressed. There is more to make this article better, and I think we have the possibility of this eventually becoming a Good Article. Let's keep this good work up. Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 21:56, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
