Digital Opportunity Index should have its own entry, not just one under ITU. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sukee3 (talkcontribs)

It had one. It got deleted after a debate. (I voted against, but the clear majority was for merging it with ITU). --Alvestrand 21:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Opportunity Index[edit]

I have deleted the sentence: "The ICT Development Index was previously known as the Digital Opportunity Index." The IDI is a new index which came out of a merger of different indices (including DOI), see: http://www.itu.int/ITU-D/ict/publications/idi/material/2009/MIS2009_w5.pdf. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1041abc (talkcontribs) 08:48, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Massive Errors[edit]

The tables given for 2017 is massively wrong. It uses the values from "Table 2.4: IDI use sub-index rankings and values, 2017 and 2016" in the given source, when it should use Table 2.2. The numbers are also applied to the wrong countries (eg Denmark tops table 2.4, but the number is applied to South Korea). Since Iceland passed Korea on the index, it will also be differently ordered.

Further, it should be mentioned that the methodology is being updated, and future statistics (IDI 2020) will be incompatible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.34.40.166 (talk) 00:25, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
