Merger proposal[edit]

IGLC2 is just one of a large number of genes contained in the IGL@ locus. While the locus as a whole is very notable, the individual genes within this locus are much less so. As far as I can see, there is nothing about the IGLC2 gene that would make this particular gene any more notable than the rest. Hence I suggest that the IGLC2 article be replaced with a redirect to IGL@. Cheers. Boghog (talk) 08:32, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support. What about the PBB templates, should the merged article contain both of them, or should we drop IGLC2's template altogether (dince we cannot reasonably include all IGLx gene templates)?
