Change/Add X: "In 2006, Apple with Irish rock band U2 presented a special edition of the 5th-generation iPod. Like its predecessor, this iPod has the signatures of the four members of the band engraved on its back, but this one was the first time the company changed the color of the stainless steel back from a silver chrome to black. This iPod was only available with 30 GB of storage capacity."

Y: "The U2 Edition Ipod was first available in 2004 in a 4th gen Ipod Classic 20GB model M9787LL/A - A1059 with a silver chrome back with the signatures of the band members. It included a firewire cable." NavinboobJohnson (talk) 15:55, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The information on Wikipedia is false[edit]

Darren Haslett was the inventor of ipod and after talking to apple in 1997 about his ideas was ripped off by apple they never named their products they just obtained the patents and done the development and gave no credit to him also made false claims that someone else was the inventor and bore false witness in court a spokesman for apple claimed anything discussed with Apple automatically becomes there intellectual property and while on the phone Darren Haslett was supposed to speak with there legal team but instead the line went dead Fact ! 78.150.217.161 (talk) 09:18, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merged[edit]

List of iPod models was merged here, but some of its contents don't appear to be mentioned here. It wasn't very well sourced so I won't copy it, but others might be interested in rescuing it. DFlhb (talk) 12:54, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
