Published Standards / status dates[edit]

What is the "status" field supposed to mean in the table of published standards? ISO/IEC 15288 and ISO/IEC 12207 were both originally published before the 2008 date that is noted in their status field, and have both subsequently been updated more recently than 2008. The more recent versions of both standards are also now ISO/IEC/IEEE standards, not just ISO/IEC, so it's not clear whether the original or current prefix should be used. Similar issues are likely to affect some of the other standards on the list.

Does the table need to be kept up-to-date, to reflect the status of the latest edition of each standard? Or should it reflect the historical situation? JRI (talk) 22:29, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
