I'm just wondering... I have seen so many negative reviews for Ping, in fact, I have yet to see a positive review for it. And yet, the reception notes have mostly positive reviews. Is this section completely objective? Bauerman24 (talk) 05:45, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you could summarize them in that section for balance. But they should come from some reasonably authoritative sources, not some anonymous guy's blog; WP:RS has some guidance in that regard. Tijfo098 (talk) 10:23, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm with you there. The sentence that reads, "Reviews of Ping have been generally favorable" does not have any sources backing it up. Yes, there are favourable reviews cited as sources, but none of them support the statement. The statement is somebody's own personal interpretation. I am changing it to "There are favourable reviews of Ping," since that is a fact rather than somebody's opinion. --50.99.8.69 (talk) 01:16, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tweeting and Facebook Posting from iTunes[edit]

The recently announced updates to Apple's OS X and iOS show the ability to Tweet and Post Facebook messages from within iTunes, allowing users to share music and video links with friends via these two social networks. Does this mean the end of iTunes Ping? Are there any Apple developers out there who can ask this question at the WWDC 2012 and post an answer back here? It might be a good idea to update this article accordingly, but I'm not sure how to approach it. David Bailey (talk) 15:24, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
