Singles box[edit]

Jax 0677, please leave reasoning here as to why you think the chart positions for the singles from the EP should be listed in the article. I personally do not think it's appropriate, and have no idea why it's here in the first place. Chats here should be listed for the EP considering that the article revolves around this project. The aforementioned singles both have their own articles (I Can't Stop Drinking About You & I'm Gonna Show You Crazy) which both list the charting positions, repeating them here in unnecessary. Virtually no other articles list such singles charting, and rightly so. However I should insert something I found rather comical, in your latest edit of the article, in which you add back the singles charting box, you cite two other articles (.5: The Gray Chapter and In Rolling Waves) which have singles boxes as reasoning to keep them, however, after researching, it seems you added the singles boxes to both of these articles...?

Raulkul, IndianBio, Chasewc91, SNUGGUMS I'd appreciate any comment you could give. Azealia911 talk 20:00, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can list all of the albums on this encyclopedia that use the singles box, it makes no difference, the only way you could possibly sway me is if you reference a good article or a featured article album that uses the format, or a link to a discussion that was ended in consensus that the box is a good idea. So far the only points you have given are that other articles use it, which doesn't stand up, and "Chart history is one way of listing the songs on an album." which also sounds ridiculous considering there's an entire section denoted as "Track listing" Azealia911 talk 20:58, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reply - Again, why is the information listed at Bebe Rexha#Singles if it should not be listed at the album article? If the information is referenced and does not violate a policy, then you have the burden of proof to remove the tables. --Jax 0677 (talk) 21:08, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If anywhere, the chart box is better for discography articles (or sections of bio page if not split off). Chartings of songs from an EP should instead be contained within prose inside EP articles. Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:31, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • SNUGGUMS There must be some sort of policy about repeating large chunks of information on different articles without stylistic variation, right? Azealia911 talk 21:42, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not sure if there's an official policy per se, but it is against standard practice to include chart boxes within album/EP articles for their songs. It could be worth consulting WP:WikiProject Discographies. Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:45, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • As others said, it is grossly redundant when it is already repeated in the discography. I saw this practice being introduced in some of the Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson album articles, but have since been removed. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 04:09, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
