Controversy[edit]

I can understand, as a Jewish person, how the Nimok scenario in the game could be seen as offensive. However, the point being to show that Nimok is a unredeemable monster, is a good way of illustrating how immoral the Nazis were. It reminds me alot of the Twilight Zone episodes, where the Nazis were put in some sort of horrible situation of some sort. Which makes sense, being that Rod Serling is Jewish. I guess if you can't take revenge on someone in reality, the next best thing is to take revenge on them in fiction.

I really find the whole, feeding helpless animals to iron zepplins part of the game, much more disturbing. I mean, not to say that WW2 wasn't horrible, but that I live farther away from that period of time. Also, I really don't get the whole, harming animals thing..especially with cats. Seems to be some strange, guy thing. Not to be sexist, it just I usually see that stuff happening in more male targeted media. I didn't grow up with any brothers, so the whole thing is a mystery to me.

Do you think that I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream could've inspired the Saw films? The storyline seems very simliar, especially where the computer asks "Do you want to play a game with me?". 24.13.219.137 22:21, 6 October 2006

European censorship[edit]

Hello. I modified this section. The statement that the game was unsolvable is not made by me but it's in the German source I provided. As far as I know Nimdok is necessary for both an easy quick way, ending in "I have no mouth, and I must scream" and a long way involving all five characters. How is it possible in the French version? It is not true that the game cannot be played through in the German version. The source you provided only states that one puzzle cannot be solved logically. I have to admit that this wasn't well put in the source. It was possible for me to finish the game and I got exactly the good ending described in the article. I corrected this. We should also change the headline as "Censorship in Europe" suggests that the game was cut in every European country the game was released. However, there was a Spanish release of the game that was uncut. Furthermore, I think we should better use the term "cut verions" instead of "censorship". Censorship means in my opinion that the state forced the localisation company to cut the game; however there is no source for this. Screenshot quality...[edit]

When MobyGames has a vast catalogue of crisp, full SVGA-resolution shots for this game, and presumably no issues with their fair use reproduction for illustrative purposes, why the heck is WP using a scrunched-down, somewhat blurred 480x360 resolution one (with barely legible text and a rather dark gamma setting) from a random other site that doesn't even rate a reference in the article footer? Indeed, we could probably stretch to two or three of them to illustrate particular key elements, couldn't we?

Ellen in Ted's chapter[edit]

I think Ellen in Ted's chapter is the same as the playable character... looks the same, same voice actress... and in the Finale the SuperEgo reminds Ellen about Ted.
