Notability[edit]

Ian’s notable. Citations in article give specific technical matters (e.g., kubernetes attacks and security patches) that pretty solidly establish this.

If you compare the related article for Kelsey Hightower, a similar level of detail showing notability as a public figure associated with Kubernetes who gets mentioned in textbooks and articles establishes notability easily.

As a complete random and non-wikipedian, I would recommend strongly against deleting this article. I would look skeptically on arguments for deletion, because Ian is controversial, and likely to attract such arguments in bad faith.

My two cent contribution. Take it for whatever you think it’s worth, future editor of this article. 2600:1700:1F3:2240:8C90:40A6:5367:331F (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 15:22, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced, not covered, categories[edit]

I removed some categories not covered or sourced in the body of the article. It also looks like the subject identifies as "they"? which is also not sourced. Can citations be added to cover these issues? Thank you, Malerooster (talk) 15:25, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've addressed the citation issues. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 20:02, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi GorillaWarfare, thank you. The citation, number 20, does it support that the subject identifies as non-binary and uses those pronouns? I am not seeing that? Thank you, --Malerooster (talk) 21:08, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ctrl-f their name. They're listed under the heading "Here are two people we absolutely love in tech who are non-binary", and referred to with they/them pronouns (as they are in all the other sources, btw). GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 00:10, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I saw the entry, thank you, I just wasn't sure if that was sufficient for self identifying, no worries. --Malerooster (talk) 00:18, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Figured a secondary source would be preferable, but it's easily verified by Coldwater's own statements also. Pronouns are in their Twitter bio and they have mentioned being non-binary in tweets: [1]. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 00:21, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Very good. --Malerooster (talk) 00:33, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
