Untitled[edit]

I removed the cleanup tag from this article because, quite frankly, I thought it was useless. Indicating that something is wrong with the article is nice but it isn't of any value without specifying why. If someone would explain what is in nonconformance, I would be happy to edit the article.

I realize there is a lack of source material cited for the majority of the content of this article.

Most of the knowledge that I have obtained regarding the Ibanez Destroyer model comes first hand as I possess a private collection of over 20 Destroyer models and variations.

I'm not certain how to reference that direct observational knowledge within the article so I thought it best to place a note here.

The problem, obviously, is that it's original research. Not only are the facts in question since other editors cannot verify them, but a lack of verifiability also suggests that a lot of information in the article is not, in fact, notable enough to be included in an encyclopedia. I think I've cleaned up everything. I even removed the photo gallery which I found rather ironic in a way. It seems Wikipedia is willing to allow me to upload a photo of anything and take it on faith that the object in the image is what I claim it to be yet it does not do the same for the printed word. there's not an easy way to say this without the risk of offending TheDestroyerGuy... I myself have a small collection of ibanez instruments amongst thirty-odd basses, & they are wonderful instruments... but to the point: there's no mention within the article of the gibson/epiphone korina explorer, whose 1958 design this guitar exactly copies. can someone explain why? I think the whole history of japanese manufacturers building extremely high quality replicas of US guitars, & particularly how it led to innovation (such as e.g. the iceman) is being ignored here. duncanrmi (talk) 18:33, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
