Hello! I will review this article. I have been a bit busy with school recently, so please bear with me. Basilisk4u (talk) 22:37, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Review[edit]

Lead
  • "'If I Never See Your Face Again' is a song by American pop rock band Maroon 5 from the re-release of second studio album It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007) in June 2008." --> "'If I Never See Your Face Again' is a song by American pop rock band Maroon 5 from the June 2008 re-release of the group's second studio album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007)."
  • Wasn't the song also included on the re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad?
  • "It was released as an Extended Play (EP) in Australia..." - "Extended play" should not be capitalized
  • "Rihanna stated it was an honor to do a song with them." Not sure if this is exactly necessary for the lead, or I think it could be added into the sentence before it.
  • "'If I Never See Your Face Again' is a Pop and R&B song. Instrumentation is provided by synthesizers and a guitar." --> "'If I Never See Your Face Again' is a pop and R&B song featuring instrumentation provided by synthesizers and a guitar."

Background
  • "he wanted to try something different for the albums re-release." --> "he wanted to try something different for the album's re-release."
  • Was there any re-writing when Rihanna joined? Explain more about Rihanna's contribution to the song if possible.
There isn't. Aaron You Da One
  • Why aren't the albums linked when they are mentioned?

Composition
  • "Jerome Blakeney for BBC wrote that it is a 'guitar drenched' and 'crunching synth' song." The quote from the review is actually "synth-crunching", I think it sounds better as well.
  • It might be good to talk about the lyrical content of the song if you can find anything about it.
There isn't.  Done Aaron You Da One
Critical reception
  • "A reviewer for IGN was complimentary of 'If I Never See Your Face Again', writing that it hard to resist listening to." --> "A reviewer for IGN was complimentary of 'If I Never See Your Face Again', writing that it is hard to resist listening to the song."
  • "The reviewer also noted that Levine appeared to adopt a vocal style reminiscent to that employed by Justin Timberlake" --> The reviewer also noted that Levine appeared to adopt a vocal style reminiscent of techniques employed by Justin Timberlake"

Chart performance
  • "The made a re-entry on the chart..." --> "The song made a re-entry on the chart"
What's the difference? Aaron You Da One
"The made" doesn't make sense. There needs to be "song" in there.
Ohh hehe Aaron You Da One
