Request for further information[edit]

  • What is this song about (summary)?
  • What rhythm is it (slow waltz?)?
  • this song apt for a wedding service? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.60.62.213 (talk) 15:15, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Amen to that. Typically awful Wikipedia song article, says nothing about the actual music, just versions this and charts that. 70.192.83.88 (talk) 22:36, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rush Limbaugh Usage[edit]

I think Rush Limbaugh has a satirical version of the song used as a "theme" for Presidential candidate/Arizona Sen. John McCain. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 20:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simply Red[edit]

The original version of this song is extremely well-known, and it has been covered numerous times by many artistes. Therefore, I wonder why Simply Red's version been given so much prominence?Centrepull (talk) 11:07, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Simply Red version is well-known because it was an international hit (see "charts" section) and thus deserves its own section. Remember that an article is always under construction on WP. The goal of a song article is to have detailed info about every notable version. So it should be good to expand the sections about the original version and the subsequent covers. -- Europe22 (talk) 16:27, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's only a track list and chart section that makes it appear that the Simply Red version is prominence. Remember as well, it's all what information people have access to. The more recent something is, the more info people can find on it. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 20:11, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
