His name[edit]

@Johnsoniensis: I interpret your recent edits [1][2] as indicating that the 'ap Glyn' component of his name is a patronymic, and not a patronymic surname. This is supported by the {{DEFAULTSORT:Ifor ap Glyn}} declaration. Is this correct? Do you have a source to confirm it? A source that gives his father's name could be persuavive, but possibly not definitive. If we can confirm this then we should give an explanation, probably in the lead, and maybe also use the {{Welsh name}} hatnote. Verbcatcher (talk) 13:56, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Calling him "Glyn" was obviously wrong so I assumed the default sort was correct. I do not have have any more information about him. Johnsoniensis (talk) 16:05, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
