Does anyone have any information proving the claim that as of 2009 Japan offers immigration equality? I'm pretty aware of Japanese immigration law, and there is no way for a Japanese national who's gay to help with the immigration of a same-sex partner that I know of. Unless someone has some sort of source for this information I think it should be removed. Threemadness (talk) 03:13, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on Immigration equality[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected links on Immigration equality which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

LGBT (same sex) immigration and Japan[edit]

Japan is coloured blue on the map for immigration equality but the reality is somewhat different.

non-Japanese couples (both people non-Japanese) can get a visa for the partner but it is more restrictive than the one issued to hetersoexual spouses. Recently, rules have changed where one of the pair is Japanese but again the visa issued is more restrictive than the one issued to heterosexual spouses.

Additionally, neither of these policies are written into law. They are just policies of the MOJ (Ministry of Justice)

I think we should have a 3rd or stripe colour for this situation. Thoughts?
