I suggest you read WP:ATHLETE, the notability criteria for sportsman is: "People who have competed at the fully professional level of a sport". Imtiaz Ali played 47 matches at a professional level including representing his country at a time when the West Indies were among the strongest teams in the world. The article is in poor shape currently yes but the speedy criteria for people is "does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject" and this article clearly does, he played Test cricket. --Jpeeling (talk) 17:56, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
