“Incident”?[edit]

I understand the rationale for referring to certain events in military history by the informal names used at the time. But given this is a relatively rare example of American soldiers being found guilty of specific crimes during the war, it feels strange to have so vague a title.


I don’t mean to suggest anybody has done anything improper here; I’m also not all that familiar with the relevant policies. It just seems to me that things would be clearer were the article to be titled in the manner other crimes often are: something like “Kidnapping, rape, and murder of Phan Thi Ma”.


Feel free to me know if there’s a policy reason for the current arrangement. I have no intention to drag anybody into a pointless dispute about a sensitive topic. Foxmilder (talk) 04:11, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
