Orphan[edit]

I have chosen to be bold and remove the orphan tag on this page. This index is unlikely to be linked anywhere due to its nature, therefore the tag isn't really helping. If anyone disagrees, feel free to revert and discuss. Thanks. Jujutacular T · C 13:44, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Abbreviate states[edit]

I'm considering replacing the state names with abbreviations where a county exists in multiple states, like this:

  • Adair County: IA; KY; MO; OK

instead of this:

  • Adair County: Iowa; Kentucky; Missouri; Oklahoma

Asit may be a while before I get around to it, I thought I'd mention it here to give folks a chance to chime in. YBG (talk) 05:03, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've done this with the multi-state lists. YBG (talk) 06:58, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is rather confusing for non-US residents, and especially for people who don't speak English brilliantly. I think it would be better if it were changed back. Lord British (talk) 17:30, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Point well taken. Unless someone chimes in to the contrary, I'll revert it back sometime soon. YBG (talk) 23:59, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure if 2 years, 5 months and 8 days is anyone's idea of "sometime soon", but I finally got around to it. YBG (talk) 05:16, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
