Talk:India/Picture selection

The goal here is to select featured-picture quality photographs for the India page.

Anyone can nominate an image but please keep in mind the following criteria:

• Image have a minimum resolution of 1000+ px without JPEG artifact compression
• Pictures must be colourful
• Must be an accompaniment to the text in the section
• Must be released under a free licence

Anyone can nominate a picture, but only registered wikipedians can vote for it. To nominate a picture, please create a subsection and thumb the image.

To balance the regional representation, a minimum of one picture from each category will be selected to be put up on the page.

Sucessful images will be put up for FP status in commons and FPC. If they pass both rounds, the image will be considered to be "locked" on the India page unless a better image is found to replace it.
