Who says that this is that?[edit]

I acknowledge that those who coin the names will own the area and shape perception to their benefit. Can we all acknowledge that the name "Inductive Programming" is chosen very disadvantageously for this purpose?

Consequently, inductive programming should be the name for what is currently called "dynamic programming", because it works like full induction proofs. Dynamic programming in turn is dynamic optimization, aka optimal control, as linear programming equals linear optimization.

Who gets to choose how a word is coined or misused; that a child when they search an image of an apple will be shown an electric device instead; shaping and tainting their original interests. I tell you all that Wikipedia will become useless if we do not implement a paradigm that assigns the proper names to things. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:908:1657:A860:7D46:D63C:D24C:69C8 (talk) 12:13, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

too soon. if no more than a paragraph can be produced about the subject, it belongs in the parent article. No need to split out into a dedicated article. RadioFan (talk) 02:15, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Text copied from other sources?[edit]

I noticed that at least some of the text hear is copied from other sources, with small amounts of editing. For example, the sentence "The advent of logic programming brought a new elan but also a new direction in the early 1980s, especially due to the MIS system of Shapiro[9] eventually spawning the new field of inductive logic programming (ILP)." is almost exactly equivalent to a sentence in Flener, P.; Schmid, U. (2008). "An introduction to inductive programming". Artificial Intelligence Review (Springer). 29(1): 45–62.. I haven't looked closely at the rest, but it would be good to make sure this article isn't mostly plagiarized. --Schneau (talk) 15:32, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
