Title capitalization[edit]

Re my edit here: The engine is referred to as the Infinity Engine on BioWare's website (ref), so this is the capitalization Wikipedia should use. --Muchness 07:18, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing link to Sorcerer's Place[edit]

I removed a link to the Sorcerer's Place website added by 193.95.233.141 (talk · contribs). This editor's article space contribs consist solely of adding links to Sorcerer's Place and refactoring External links sections to make links to Sorcerer's Place more prominent, which leads me to suspect the editor is using Wikipedia as a vehicle to promote the site (i.e., linkspamming). If another editor feels a link to this site is appropriate, feel free to add the link back. --Muchness 19:57, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your removal -- I'm currently reverting this editor's contributions to many other RPG articles. -Quasipalm 23:06, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Planescape start-room.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Planescape start-room.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --09:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Madden '13 from list[edit]

Madden '13, while it does indeed use something that EA are calling the Infinity Engine, does not in fact run on the same engine as Baldurs Gate... Dotalchemy (talk) 21:32, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Infinity Engine origins[edit]

Just wanted to log this for posterity. On the surface it seems to conflict with the 'public record' that IE was developed from the Battleground Infinity code: "Battleground Infinity was a hacked Direct X demo. The Infinity Engine was a from-scratch effort. IE had thread blocking issues." -- Trent Oster, 2012-06-02. https://twitter.com/TrentOster/status/208686000074014720 Eddy L O Jansson (talk) 16:38, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Other games using Infinity Engine[edit]

As far as i know, Arcanum used the Infinity Engine as well - and given the giant size of the gameworld, quite spectacularily so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.85.124.206 (talk) 14:45, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
