Why "Western"?[edit]

Why does the article refer several times to this city being a hub of various activities in *western* Austria, when on the map provided, it appears located in the eastern, or at most central, region of the country? - J —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.61.155.6 (talk) 22:31, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"West" appears on the left side. LTC (Ret.) David J. Cormier (talk) 13:47, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Website and email?[edit]

What's with the website and email? Wikipedia is not a travel guide. Andjam 13:19, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sports vs History[edit]

Why does 'sports' come above 'history' in this page? Get your priorities right. Is Wikipedia an indiscriminate collection of information?-— Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.208.210.209 (talk) 15:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Template Problem[edit]

I reverted the template change by Attilios. Although the new template is, in some ways, better, I cannot see how to stop it claiming that Innsbruck is in Germany. Please can someone more familiar with these templatesfix this problem. Viewfinder 22:59, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Oeni Pons"[edit]

Is this a Roman placename or medieval Latin? The article should specify. --Wetman 23:27, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How many universities?[edit]

The article currently reads: Innsbruck hosts several universities. The most well-known are the University of Innsbruck (Leopold-Franzens-Universität), the Innsbruck Medical University, and the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).

Are there even more universities here? __meco (talk) 09:01, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Igls[edit]

This community is blue-linked in the article, but when I click on it, I simply get cycled back to Innsbruck, with a note that I have be re-directed..Kdammers (talk) 07:24, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What about WW1?[edit]

As the capital of Tyrol, it looks curious that there is no mention of one of the most important moment of the history of the city. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Docsog (talkcontribs) 22:35, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Climate[edit]

I was wondering why in the climate section data for the weather station in the city center are used, instead of those of the weather station at the airport just like it's usually done for the other austrian cities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.46.56.87 (talk) 14:05, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notable sons and daughters[edit]

Over the last day or two I have created and populated a list of about sixty people who were born in Innsbruck and split them up into six sub-sections. The source for these people is a search of Wikipedia for "born in Innsbruck". I hope readers find the list interesting and useful.
