Regulation of Insurance Companies: United States[edit]

I'm not making edits now (hard to know where to start), but this section seems woefully inferior to the Main Article "Insurance in the United States" that is cited. It might be simplest to just delete the text, and go with the reference? A key problem is whether the focus should be exclusively on the regulation of the "business of insurance" (my preference), or whether the section should also address the regulation of insurance companies qua companies in some general way (which the current piece does, but rather poorly). Is there anyone taking a lead role with this page?Meherlihy (talk) 21:00, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Insurance Law in England and Wales[edit]

Would anyone object to a section on Insurance Law in England and Wales? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.134.107.124 (talk) 22:04, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which state regulates my insurance policies?[edit]

I have a simple question. Suppose I buy life insurance in Maryland and I live in Delaware. Do the laws of Maryland apply to my insurance policy? Do the laws of Delaware apply to my policy? Or do the laws of the state of domicile of my insurer apply to my policy? How do I determine which state's laws apply to my policy? Thank you. - SL2007 (talk) 02:21, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
