Do not combine[edit]

This page shouldn't be combined with the Chickyu enntry. The two are seperate things. The IODP operates on several different drilling platforms other than just the Chickyu. The new Chicyu is just one of these.

Uploading images[edit]

Iodpmi (talk) 14:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC) I want to upload images to the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program page. All of the images were used in our brochures/promotional material. I'm not sure how to tag them. Please advise.[reply]

That would depend on who owns the copyright of any material. Just because it's published elsewhere doesn't actually change anything. As long as the copyright holder is happy to see them released under a GFDL or similar license, and you can show evidence of this, then there shouldn't be a problem (see - Wikipedia:Image copyright tags). Deletion tag[edit]

Iodpmi (talk) 14:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC) I noticed a deletion tag warning at the top of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program Page. I have tagged my page as underconstruction. What steps must I take to continue editing my page under the underconstruction tag?.[reply]

As to the warning about the Under construction tag, there is a discussion going on right now about the use of this tag and other similar ones. I shouldn't worry about it, the consensus looks like it's heading for a strong 'keep'. Mikenorton (talk) 15:56, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Iodpmi (talk) 19:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)I'm trying to read through many Wiki rules, and I admit I'm very confused. I've been working on the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program page, which is a non-profit marine research program sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation. Basically, all I'm trying to do is post information that we recently printed in a brochure. I'm having trouble with references: all the info is either from our website or brochure. I'm also have trouble with assigning a copyright to our image. Someone kindly tried to explain it to me but on this talk page, but I have another question about it. Our organizaiton owns all of the images we will use; I assume this is non-free promotional material, but what license will I list this under? I would really appreciate any assistance. Many thanks in advance.[reply]

Too much promotional content[edit]

Too many sections sound as if they're taken straight from promotional materials and have no purpose and no sources. 218.215.40.14 (talk) 23:35, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
