Another meaning[edit]

Another resolution of the acronym is "Integrated Project Team," in recognition of the fact that many of these teams are dedicated to a project rather than creating a product in the traditional sense.

More context needed ...[edit]

This is mostly showing the U.S> DoD usage -- but that supposedly came out of industry practices, so where are those explained ?

Also it would be nice to explain what is being integrated ... I think it's getting together the different functionl members (engineering, support, user, testers, etc) so that an aspect can be discussed with those on the involvement mapping and that the specific membership or intents vary --- so it seems different interests are surfaced and dealt with.
