Opening heading[edit]

This section contains mostly opinions and speculations, only a few facts are present. I suggest removal of everything except facts about reports.

Agreed. There have been times I've seen the neutrality banner and thought, "Gee, this seems fine," but the GTECH article is almost uniformly negative. -- C.S.Pariah 20:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

there is nothing mentioned about Snowden and Stern anymore, or how it came to be.

It reads like a brochure now.. I know it was very negative before but now its completely moved in the opposite direction and not very informative at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.132.106.194 (talk) 18:12, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GTECH was previously known as Gaming Systems Corporation with the Headquarters at 101 Dyer Street in Providence and their manufacturing facility in Slatersville, RI. A very good history can be found at The Barbados Lottery History webpage

NPOV removed[edit]

The article changed significantly since Dec. 2007, I've removed the NPOV template, please use {{POV-section}} or better yet {{POV-statement}} for statements and detail issues here. This will help address them quickly. - RoyBoy 04:33, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Lottomatica[edit]

Lottomatica has acquired GTECH corporation and has changed its name to GTECH (source: http://www.gtech.com/eng/about_us/au.html ) Itemirus (talk) 12:38, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose The original Gtech has 26 years of history that should not be conflated with the company that is now called Gtech. They need separate articles. Lottomatica should be moved to GTECH, and this article should be moved to GTECH Corporation. Toohool (talk) 20:25, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Updates to EDGAR data?[edit]

Hi. I work in PR with IGT. Some of the facts attributed to the 2015 EDGAR filing are now out-of-date, because IGT's 2016 F-20 is now available to the public. We wanted to point this out if recent editors are interested in updating the data: IGT 2016 Form 20-F on EDGAR site Thanks! Kleanslate (talk) 13:21, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is PR Newswire an unreliable source?[edit]

I've been told press releases aren't usable as references, so what sources should PR Newswire be replaced with that cover IGT's merger with Gtech and its selling DDI to DoubleU Games? KasaibouF29 (talk) 12:32, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
