Listing lessees[edit]

Is there really any point in listing ILFC's customers (Same applies for GECAS.) It would pretty much be "List all of the airlines in the world, and remove 25% of them." I'm exaggerating, but I think a list here serves little purpose. —Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 19:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ILFC Logo.png[edit]

Image:ILFC Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:09, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aircraft[edit]

It should be written down what for aircraft ILFC owns! Dagadt

Where does their funding come from?[edit]

How in the hell does ILFC buy 67 Boeing 787s? I calculate a cost of $150M x 67 = $10.5 billion. This is far greater than their financial figures seem to allow. -Rolypolyman (talk) 03:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More specifically, their current corporate parent is AIG, which has a bezillion dollars (cite needed) in (distressed) assets. Edward Vielmetti (talk) 15:52, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Wikipedia better than many company's websites?[edit]

If you notice, the website for International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) listed on its Wikipeda page is www.ilfc.com. Clicking on this link takes one to the www.ilfc.com website, with the ILFC logo and its name spelled out. But seconds later, the URL address changes to www.aercap.com, the ILFC logo disappears, a new web page appears and an AerCap logo now appears.

I am now confused. I then decide to try to find ILFC on the AerCap website. I click on the AerCap "About" section and then click on "Who We Are" and ILFC is not mentioned. I start another search on the AerCap website and click on the "Services" link and then click on their "Leasing and Trading" link, again, no information on ILFC.

According to Wikipedia, ILFC is a multi-billion dollar corporation and per Wikipedia, it is clear this company exists. However, if I was someone who originally went to the AerCap website, I could be 100% certain that ILFC does not exist. Not to mention that a Google search for ILFC does not provide the www.ilfc.com website.

Thank you to Wikipedia for having better information than a multi-billion dollar corporation's website.

Defunct?[edit]

Is this company still kept alive by aercap or should it be noted as defunct in the article? A Green Guy (talk) 01:46, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
