Burma/Norway?[edit]

Why is Voice of Burma listed as Norway's international radio/TV broadcaster? (Alphaboi867 07:30, 17 August 2005 (UTC))[reply]

NRK ceased shortwave transmissions. The Voice of Burma is the only international broadcaster operating in Norway now.

Ireland[edit]

Would RTÉ Radio 1 Europe count as an "international broadcaster"? Its been received in Brazil (albeit during odd lift conditions...) and specifically targets Europe on mediumwave and shortwave as well as satellites that have never traditionally been used in Ireland Hotbird, as well as being heavily relayed on WRN English. --Kiand 21:33, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

meh, a few of the other ones listed (O1 International) are definately the copyright-cleaned international feed of the main national broadcaster, and are covering LW/MW/satellite, all of which RTÉ do. So I'm adding it.

Request cleanup[edit]

I added ARRL to the list of links, mainly because any discussion of radio in the US/international arena seemed incomplete without reference to the main ham body in the US, and other radio sites do mention ARRL, so this brings some consistency to the citations. I am starting a rewrite, including citiations from reliable sources where I can place them. Right now, the article is too disjointed and is too much of a series of lists. This is a shame, because international broadcasting has a rich and interesting history.

In rewriting this article, my emphasis is on international broadcasting and its various methods only. I might move some of the ARRL data to the appropriate pages on ham radio.GABaker 2105 28 January 2008 (UTC).

Euronews[edit]

i would add euronews to the international tv broadcasters if it's allrigth with u; for one, it meets the criteria (international broadcasting (150 countries, while atm just 150m possible viewers) and multinational/international stakeholders) and on the other hand i becomes more and more relevant (at least in the eu area, as far as i can see) LotP (talk)
