There are so many terms that need explaining from this article, theres too much for me to do alone... im gonna need some help, i can tell you enough about each term to allow you to find more via google for a full article... eg for N-PORTs you want "fibre optic node ports" anyway, leave a message on my user page if your able to research, ill gladly go over the articles later when ive got time... Expansion ideas[edit]

{{tech}} tag[edit]

I removed the {{tech}} tag, changing the article title to Internet Fibre Channel Protocol (formerly internet Fibre Channel Protocol). Despite the abbreviation "iFCP", I have never seen the word "internet" fully spelled in such a way that would warrant the title of the Wikipedia article using a lower-case "i" (for a comparison, see mRNA, but also iPOD). In addition, the article edit history seems to suggest that an editor attempted to reinsert a previously deleted {{technical}} tag, but didn't add it correctly.

However, I'm no expert on this subject. If any editor believes that the initial "i" in the article title shouldn't be capitalised, they can add {{tech}} to the top of the article to restore it. Cheers. – Liveste 08:56, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree: put the lower case in the acronym only. Now the tag here is still merited: the article needs to give a better context of what it is. Also need to expand by talking about history, and for example, if anyone every implemented it, or is of theoretical or historic interest only, and why. W Nowicki (talk) 21:49, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
