Too much focus on examples[edit]

Coming to the article as a reader lacking information, there is very little in it that actually describes intersection theory, and a lot of math (presumably) from it. Questions knowledgable editors might answer in the article: What is intersection theory, beyond a branch of algebraic theory? How did it start, or become identified as a separate branch? Who are the notable historical people involved in it, is it just Bézout? What other areas of mathematics and science has it been important for? What is its most important findings? (Perhaps the current contents of the article is a summary of that last, could it be structured better to make that more clear?) Kloddall (talk) 13:01, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
