Rest areas and weigh stations[edit]

Like Interstate 26 in South Carolina, this could use a section in the route description for rest areas and truck weigh stations. I've got one site listing rest areas and one site listing weigh stations. That reminds me that I still got to process those pictures I took at the I-20 rest areas at Lugoff. I'm fine with what you did by adding a subsection called 'services' and listing them; but I recall attempting similar several years back and they were removed because they weren't considered necessary for the general public. --WashuOtaku (talk) 14:40, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I believe the problem you had was that I was adding them to the junction list for Interstate 85 in South Carolina. But the "services" section was also part of the route description along Interstate 95 in South Carolina, and most people seem okay with that. Interstate 20 Eastern Extension In The Future Section[edit]

If there’s a future section on the main page of I-20 about the eastern extension, then the S.C. page should have one too. I know there’s one in “Proposed extensions.” But we or I or you could move or duplicate it to the future section only about 2003 extension since it will happen soon eventually since there are many sites including interstate sites except wiki that the extension is going to happen, two of the sites (interstate guide and aaroads) have exact directions of how the extension will be like. Also new interstate shields in S.C. don’t have “South Carolina” above the numbers anymore. Foxbro69 (talk) 19:18, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The I-20 main page on future extension is out-dated. There are currently no plans to extend I-20 east. Unless you can provide new information, the proposed routing is dead, that is why it is in the history section in this article. --WashuOtaku (talk) 19:24, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Edits[edit]

I saw the recent edits that you all reverted, but in my believe some of those edits are true.

- Myrtle Beach is a control city from I-20 to I-95 because in Google maps street view updated a month ago in the eastbound lanes located near mile maker 140, there is a sign that says “Myrtle Beach via I-95 (showing the shield) north.”

- According from Carolina Crosslands (more proof from interstate guide (https://www.interstate-guide.com/i-126-sc/)) that I-20/I-26 interchange will become a turbine interchange, I-20 exits 63 and 65 will become future diverting diamond interchanges, during the built of I-20/I-26 interchange, the lanes of I-126 will be extended to directly connect to where the traffic will split into I-26 west and I-20 (connecting both directions) and the lanes from I-20 when it exits it will have three exits, two for I-26 based on directions, and one will be for I-126 meaning that I-126 will have a direct interchange with I-20 in the future without getting on I-26. I think once the turbine interchange is built, the letter exits will go away. If it doesn’t, then could be “Exit 64C: I-126 east” from I-20. Both pages of I-20 and I-126 need to have the table of proposed interchanges with each other.

- Why not I-26’s cities be listed as the businesses hub?

- Why is Atlanta listed as a city hub when I-20 travels to that city in Georgia?

- What is wrong adding freeway/boulevard names to the interstate junctions in the table?

- Why is there no link to South Carolina Highway 20 since I-20 and SC 20 have the same numbering?

There were some edits that were fine, but they were mixed with edits that were not and it was easier for most editors to reverse all than to pick-apart the edit. That said, things could have been handled better and I only blame myself for the dark path it turned towards. To answer each question: 1) Myrtle Beach is not a control city, it is an addition. 2) I don't mind explaining all that, but it should be in the future or history section for the most part and properly referenced. 3) I-26 has its own article. 4) Augusta is the control city in South Carolina, not Atlanta. 5) Nothing is wrong with it. 6) SC 20 is in the infobox as next route. Interchange Revert[edit]

I been thinking since the revert of the interchanges, I was thinking of adding “undergoing conversion to turbine interchange” to the I-26 notes table since its cloverleaf interchange is entirely being reconstructed to that turbine interchange according to Carolina Crossroads (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/353d9f47dc4645cd85cfb4419acdbbdc/) and it’s there on I-26’s sc notes table, I-16’s ga notes table, and I-95’s ga notes table. Should I add it? Also, should the U.S. 78 article be updated since it’s extended west according to U.S. ends page about U.S. 78 (https://www.usends.com/78.html)? Interchange types are only an interest of a niche audience. Since we seek to serve a general audience, we don't need to include such niche topics in the notes of already busy tables. That topic might be appropriate for inclusion in the history/future sections of an article, but then it needs to be put into context of additional changes.
