are investment funds investment companies?[edit]

The expression "also popular" is ambiguous: are the investments funds part of the category of investment companies or not? --Bretelle (talk) 21:34, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The funds are properly referred to as private investment companies, according to the SEC (http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/invclub.htm.) So they are part of investment companies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.37.89.188 (talk) 23:26, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's better now that the expression "private investment funds" has been replaced by "private investment companies" but remains unclear whether this type of companies is part of one of the categories mentioned above or not.--Bretelle (talk) 09:19, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
