Head to head section[edit]

Head to head results are already listed in separated article at Italy national football team head to head, so they should be removed from there, or even better, delete the other page and keep everything here, no point of having two identical tables in two articles. That's like saying delete the "Performance by competition" section because there's already Italy at the FIFA World Cup and Italy at the UEFA European Championship, or delete "Performance by coach" because we already have List of Italy national football team managers. This article is basically a conglomeration of the others. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 17:54, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I checked all other top nations (Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Netherlands, Portugal, England, Belgium...) and none have identical all-time head to head content over two articles, as far as I know there should not be two articles with identical content on Wikipedia (unless in special cases), if there is possibility to have everything in only one article, it should be merged. Basically, everything which already has separeted article (List of Italy national football team managers, Italy at the FIFA World Cup...) is WP:CFORKed in this article here.
Why not redirecting:
They have separate manager pages. For example, the England national football team all-time record basically covers the some content as ...at the FIFA World Cup, or ...England national football team managers, it's just formatted differently, so it makes it seem as if the information is different. I can see that the other nations usually don't have a separate head to head article other than Spain national football team head to head, so that may be something to merge if needed. Unofficial matches[edit]

My most recent edit to this page has been undone as I was informed that a certain match was unofficial. Should unofficial matches be counted here? What about the match vs the Europe XI as FIFA views that as unofficial? Vesuvio14 (talk) 17:40, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Include the list of fixtures per the FIGC website. We don't have an official list of matches FIFA considers to be official at hand. Nehme1499 00:09, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's exactly the list that I had used so I was just confused why my edit was reverted. If that is the right list to use then I will re-update. Vesuvio14 (talk) 09:41, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It was FC Cannes that played https://ricerca.repubblica.it/repubblica/archivio/repubblica/1990/06/03/italia-avanti-piano-ma-ora-vialli-si.html Italy national football team results (unofficial matches). The FIGC has been wrong before, and they're mistaken here. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 15:59, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You’re quite right- you’d think they wouldn’t make that mistake! Will revert shortly. Vesuvio14 (talk) 20:09, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All sorted! Vesuvio14 (talk) 12:50, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You would think so right?! This isn't the first time I've seen FIGC make a mistake so it didn't surprise me. Thanks Vesuvio! Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 15:04, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a refernce to show why the France data does not tally with the FIGC numbers. I also found another error in which FIGC listed a draw with the USSR as a win; that's why I couldn't get the numbers to add up! Vesuvio14 (talk) 14:46, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
