awards

Where should we list his additional awards that are not in the award section? We do not have pictures of them... —Preceding unsigned comment added by CPTCastro1234 (talkcontribs) 15:34, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

  • Hello 2LT Basquez, You can tell Capt. Castro that I had the pleasure of writing his article in Wikipedia. The article when published in the "Did You Know" section of the main page established a new record of readership which hasn't been broken yet. I wanted to speak to him personally and was given a phone number by Brig. Gen. Hector Pagan, but unfortunately I lost it. In regard to your question. You can list the additional decorations here and I will do the rest. Tony the Marine (talk) 18:25, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

You sure it isn't Iván?

As far as I know, the name is Iván, unless it is something usual in the US... --Diego Grez (talk) 00:32, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

From what I know of pronunciation, I'd agree with you, but I haven't seen a source that spells it that way. Do you have one?  Frank  |  talk  00:57, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes. One from Puerto Rico. [1]. I'll be bold and move the page. Diego Grez (talk) 01:25, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Pronunciation

Is this pronounced EEE-van or eye-ven? Some sort of pronunciation should be added after his name. Ryan Vesey (talk) 02:32, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Good question. I guess it all depends on who calls him and where he's at. What I mean is that in a Latin country or a Spanish speaking person would pronounce his name as "EEE-van", while in a country where the primary language is English an English speaking person would pronounce his name as "Eye-ven". Therefore, I guess that the proper pronunciation would be a toss up between the two. Tony the Marine (talk) 03:10, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
