As far as I know Jónas never aspired to incite a rebellion. It is too harsh a word. He just wanted a degreee of independence from Denmark and in due course, perhaps, full independence. A full Icelandic indepence was unthinkable in his time. Io (talk) 17:58, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
It is completely wrong that he refused to go to hospital. He was brought there just the morning after his accident.
