This is a good article selection for WGST 3991. You have found some excellent secondary sources about her contributions.

The items that Taylor wrote will go into a section called "Published works." There are a few ways to establish notability using publications. One way that might work in this case is to see how many libraries have the book in their collection using Worldcat. Here is a link to J. Mary Taylor's WorldCat Identity. You can use this to show how many libraries have her books. In class or at the edit-a-thon, I'll show you how to add the Wikipedia:Authority control template to connect to that kind of identity record.

Prabook would not be considered a reliable source according to Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. If you look at the Prabook About page, you'll see that the content is user-generated and there aren't citations to sources in the entry on J. Mary Taylor. However, you can use the information gathered there to search for better sources. As an example, I searched for information on the Hartley T. Jackson award, and found a list of recipients of the award on the American Society of Mammalogists website. ^[1]. Similarly, I searched for "J. Mary Taylor" and UBC, and found an archival President's Report that mentions Taylor's receipt of a Killam Senior Fellowship.^[2]
