I created JMODEM just before dial-up BBS systems became obsolete! It was written in assembly, but since I was learning 'C' at the time, I decided to rewrite it in the 'C' language. I was the sysop of the PROGRAM exchange, one of the first BBS systems. Originally, that BBS system was written in assembly under CP/M (now that's a long time ago). The computer was an Ampro "Little Board" for which I had written the BIOS (called CBIOS in those days). Just before I gave up trying to maintain an absolete BBS system, I was using a clone PC/AT with Wildcat(tm) software.

Anyway, I started engineering as a RF Engineer, designing radio transmitters for major manufacturers. Now I am writing software for CAT scanners --go figure. I wrote a book, called Abominable Firebug, that's all about my early life of "crime!"
