Re: Newt Gingrich... I recall a story at the time that identified the animal that bit Newt as a civet cat rather than a baby cougar. Is there a reliable reference such as a photo or video available? (I know most references now say "baby cougar," but I distinctly remember a civet cat being involved when reported initially.) Could be some sort of arcane spin going on.

Could somebody please put some more information on here for Jack Hanna. I am doing a project and need all the research i can get on him. Thanks!!

Behaviour[edit]

He said clearly on Letterman that he gets emails where people don't think he knows what he's talking about "because of the way he is." So clearly there's something that he's not too shy to mention, and he's been a good leader had a fantastic career nonetheless. It would possibly be interesting for the article if any documentation exists about it somewhere?

He has appeared on so many television shows (local, national and international) that it may be difficult to list them all. It certainly can be mentioned that he appeared on that show if you chose to. Political views on captivity of orcas[edit]

There really ought to be some mention of his politics regarding captivity of large animals. He was a huge spokesman on behalf of Seaworld when The truth about the treatment of their orcas began to become exposed. He was right out front all over the news practically ridiculing anyone calling for the end is the shows even after several deaths had been exposed. Zookeeper[edit]

being a zookeeper myself, I now and then react when zoo directors are referred to as zoo keepers or animal trainers. I cant really se any motivation to define Hanna as a zookeeper, where was he employed as zookeeper, and if, didnt his career made him to something else?
