This is a new (2007-08) biography of the late Canadian painter. Although very much an amalgam of existing documents (found in museums, and commercial art galleries), it has been expanded with personal anecdotes that illustrate the wider human interests of the man, which is lacking elsewhere. There has been a tendency, over the years, to depend on art dealers for information, and their documents are often adaptations of Gray's official publicity from the 1970's.

Intentionally, this biography OMITS ALL REFERENCES to Gray's family life, such as it was. The differing opinions propounded by friends of Jack's first wife, versus those of his second wife's circle, (in both cases, amounting to a revisionist approach to history) have been entirely omitted.

And now, to answer some questions, queries and other matters:

"Its neutrality is disputed"

Neutral by what criterion? An artist is not a country, not a sports team. This writer is not an art dealer, and not in a position to make any money from freely disseminating this information on Wikipedia.

"It needs sources or references that appear in third-party publications."

Jack's painting is still in Kennedy family hands. The John Paul Jones painting is widely reproduced. The artist's business card is still up on the interior wall of the Blue Bee Bar. The Bridgewater Museum in Nova Scotia has one of the Phil Stern prints from his TRI-X 1972 shots. removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:

There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues.
