@Kuru: — Thanks for checking into this article. One thing, however, which I'm not clear on, is why you do not consider Prabook to be a reliable source. It is a trade mark of the World Biographical Encyclopedia, Inc.. Prabook is a Belarusian self-publishing platform/open wiki for biographies (with a fake NY address). Most of the original material was scraped from other published sources without regard for copyright (including material from Wikipedia). You can read previous RSN duscussions: [1], [2], [3], [4]. At best, it's user-generated or scraped junk of unknown origin; at worst, it's linking to blatant copyright violations. Sam Kuru(talk) 21:05, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, ' didn't realize all this. Thanks for the 'low-down' I'll continue hunting around for other sources and see what else I can come up with. Evidently Jackson Turner Main, though an accomplished historian, is not nearly as renown as his grandfather was i.e.Frederick Jackson Turner, who wrote the acclaimed / controversial Frontier Thesis, so finding biographical info has been difficult.
