JSO hasn't provided security for JAXPORT since 2010. I recommend changing: The authority coordinates interaction between the port security department guards and the Seaport Security Unit, made up of 11 officers and 2 sergeants on contract from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. to: The JAXPORT Department of Public Safety’s security program is designed to meet mandates of the Federal Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) of 2002, enforced by the United States Coast Guard. JAXPORT Security operations are in effect around the clock, 365 days a year.
